Conman Sir Mhd Bassam Safieh.

·         Sir Mhd. Bassam Safieh had a 'suckers list' of target victims to send bogus letters

·         The letters were sent by a ‘lottery agent’ targeting mainly  pensioners informing them they had won the Lottery 

·         He received around 350,000.00 Thousand Euros from the scam and blew the money on luxury cars, gold jewellery and expensive champagne at top nightclubs in London 

·         Safieh who claims he is a diplomat and works with the Europol police department.

·         Safieh also claims he is known as 'Sir' in Malta.

·         Judge Richard Hone QC had little sympathy for Safieh, who broke down in tears at Central Criminal Court as he was jailed for seven years
